When superstar singer Kelly Rowland appears on TV as a new X Factor judge, millions of her fans will watch with delight.

But for her father ­Christopher Lovett, watching the hit ITV1 show will stir a very ­different ­emotion – bitter ­regret at the shocking behaviour that cost him the chance to see her grow up.

Christopher, who has not seen ­Kelly, 30, since she was seven, chokes back tears as he pleads: “Kelly, I love you with all my heart. Please forgive me and let me be your dad again.”

He admits his failure to provide for his family, a drink problem and a vicious temper tore his ­family apart. But he still idolises his daughter, and ­treasures the ­memories of their time together.

Kelly Rowland will join BET’s ‘The Game’ star Pooch Hall for ‘Shining Stars: The BET Awards Nominations Special‘. The pair will give us their predictions on who they think will win in this year’s catergories, joined by some of the industries top music execs and insiders. BET will announce another performing act during the nomination special, hopefully Ms.Rowland! The 2011 BET Awards nomination special will air this Wednesday at 7:30 pm EST/PST.

The talented singer shot to fame as a founding member of the R&B group Destiny’s Child with her childhood friend Beyoncé Knowles. The pair have both gone on to have hugely successful solo careers, with Kelly revealing a more mature image in her videos for hits such as When Love Takes Over and Commander.

The gorgeous star released her single Motivation from her third studio album Here I Am last month, and says that the process to creating the steamy track was an easy one.

Kelly has revealed that the writers and producers she teamed up with provided her with the initial inspiration.

“I was in the studio with Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, and I told them, ‘I want a sexy record.’ So they, ‘OK, let’s do one,’ so Jim started off the beat and it was real laidback and sexy. And then Rico started going, ‘rrr Motivation.’ And I said, ‘What are you singing?’ And he said, ‘I don’t know yet.’ He then went into the booth and started mouthing words and melodies, and it just came together so beautifully – it’s so sexy!” she gushed. “I think it is so sexy, that’s what I love about it.” Read the rest of this entry »
