ATLANTIC CITY – “I gotta say,” Beyonce told the crowd of 5500 fans who packed Revel, “it feels so good to be back home on stage.”

It was first of three soldout shows marking the opening of the swank new beachfront resort — and, more significantly, the 30-year-old superstar’s first performance since she and hubby Jay-Z welcomed daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January.

Blue’s papa was on hand to see his wife return to work. (Other attendees included Smash star Megan Hilty, model Selita Ebanks and Beyonce’s old Destiny’s Child cohort Kelly Rowland.) But predictably, Beyonce didn’t dwell on her personal life; the only reference to Blue in her two-hour set was during a video montage shown at the end, featuring a brief flash of the proud mama cradling her daughter.

The singer was all business — that is to say, warm and gracious, glamorous and relentless. Backed by an all-female band and a tireless posse of dancers and backup vocalists, Beyonce reasserted her unique pop persona; she was at once angel and seductress, cool diva and woman of the people.

She first appeared (after an opening set by the operatic R&B belter Luke James) in silhouette, a large screen hanging over the stage tracing her trim curves. For the first batch of songs — among them a feisty End of Time, a retro-soulful Love on Top and a giddy Crazy In Love— she wore a cropped, spangled top and micro-mini skirt. Several costumes followed, naturally — all showing plenty of leg, some offering a peak at the new mom’s taut tummy.

K.Ro teases an ‘incredible’ tour at this weekend’s Australian Supafest, as event critics take aim at headliner Breezy.

The last time we caught up with Kelly Rowland on the road, she was basking in the success of her mega-single “Motivation” and opening up for her boy Chris Brown on his headlining F.A.M.E. Tour. Now, she’s prepping for another jaunt, this time to Australia, with Breezy. But the run is already sparking controversy.

Just days before Supafest kicks off in Oz on Saturday, MTV News caught up with the onetime Destiny’s Child princess on the Atlanta set of Trey Songz’s “Heart Attack” video. And if she was aware that organizers were catching heat for adding Breezy to the lineup, it didn’t show. We found Rowland nothing short of giddy. “It’s gonna be incredible,” Rowland said excitedly, ticking off the names of her road-mates. Indeed, after last fall’s successful F.A.M.E. jaunt in the Sates, Kelly seemed psyched at the prospect of linking up again with Brown. Back on their Nassau Coliseum stop in New York, she talked about him in the sweetest light, revealing that she’d bought the “Deuces” singer a pair of J’s that he insisted on wearing onstage the same night.

Beyonce was spotted out and about throughout the city last night. She was spotted with her mother (Tina), mother-in-law (Gloria) and cousin (Angie) as she attended a fundraiser for Michelle Obama. Then later on last night she was spotted leaving a late dinner with her husband, Jay Z.
